Aisha Jamila is an American actor who is most well known for her roles on the TV shows The Shield and True Blood. Her range of talents has been proven through TV shows such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1, 8-7 and Under the Dome since she began her career acting in the year 2003. Anna's performance as a character in Assault on Precinct 13 was her first big break. It was however her portrayal of feminist activists Fannie Lou Hamer on the film biographical All the Way that finally earned her acclaim as an actor. Hind also earned high praise for her role as Harriet Tubman in WGN America's dramatic period drama series Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television announced that 9-1-1 is scheduled to be renewed for a second season. Hind just wrapped filming for the Hollywood movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters and is scheduled to be released at the beginning of 2019. Bachchan was thrust to the front of New Bollywood after both films challenged the conventional structure of Bollywood movies at that time. Bachchan became the Queen of Bollywood through her performance as Paro the betrayed lover of Paro in Devdas, (2002). Devdas was among the most popular films in Bollywood. It also was the first film that was screened at Cannes Film Festival. The following year she won high praise for her role of Chokher Bali (2003) an intense drama inspired by Rabindranath Tagore's story. In the same year, she was named the first Indian actress on the Cannes Film Festival Jury. Bachchan made an appearance in Gurinder Chadha's Bride and Prejudice which is a musical and a ballet adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. The beauty and star power of Bachchan was brought to the very first English-language major film. Following the release of Provoked the a True Story in English, she returned to Bollywood and starred in the blockbuster Dhoom: 2 (2007). Abhishek Bachchan was an frequent actor, and was the son of Bollywood famous Amitabh Bachchan. In April 2007, she married him. It was a union of two powerful Bollywood personalities.
